✨ The history of Finnish spellcraft & rune singing.
✨ Most common spell types and how to make spells for the modern world.
✨ About metaforics, typical elements, different parts of spells, and Kalevala-metric.
✨ Write your own words for raising your Luonto (magical power).
✨ How to work with “synty” (the origins), and call in helper forces or animals as part of your spellwork.

By the end of the course, you will have:
At least two complete spells written by you,
Rooted in Finnish spell tradition,
Directed at a real challenge or need in your life, and
Performed in a way that feels true in your body.
This is not a symbolic exercise, but an embodied experience.
Q&A
How much time does the course take?
You’ll receive a new video and task for 2o days, but you can go entirely at your own pace. A video can be 3-15 minutes long. The daily writing tasks will take you something like 10 minutes or more – depending on how much you want to spend time in writing.
What language is the course in?
The course is in English. However, all the example spells are also in Finnish. (Because the source material is in Finnish and my spell writing language is Finnish.) Some of the example audio is only in Finnish, but in those cases you don’t need to understand the words, but the point is in listening or learning the melody.
I’m not from Finland or I don’t have Finnish heritage. Can I still attend?
Yes, you can. As long as you respect the original culture and don’t use the spells to mock our heritage, I believe it is totally OK that you learn Finnish spellcraft. This kind of (or very similar) spellcraft has existed (and exists) in Finland, Karelia, Estonia and Ingria. I believe that respectfully learning from other cultures makes you understand the world (and those other cultures) better, and understanding creates nicer people. If you share spells you have created inspired by Finnish culture, it would be polite to share the source of inspiration.
Do I need to know Finnish mythology or be a witch to take this course?
No, you don’t. I will tell you what you need to know, and you can use your own life experiences and if you want, other mythologies or folklore to support your writing. You can also use this course to get ideas for writing poetry.
Do I need to finish in 20 days?
Nope. You get lifetime access. You can follow the rhythm or take your time. This is your journey.
Is this more spiritual or scientific?
Both. Finnish spellcraft have been studied a lot and I use researched information when I teach you about the history. However, I bring in a very practical approach, and you can make it as spiritual or magical as you like. The main goal (at least from my perspective) is that this course will help you write your own spells. Conscious of the history, but directed by your intuition and imagination.
Is this a live course or self-paced?
It’s fully self-paced. You can begin whenever you’re ready and return to the material as often as you like. (The first round of the course begins on the 15th of February.)
What format is the course in?
This is a self-paced online course. Once you purchase, you will be registered to my course platform. New material will open daily. Daily materials can include video, audio, text, PDFs with spell writing prompts. You will receive daily emails to remind you to return to the materials.
I don’t sing, can I still perform these spells?
Traditionally, Finnish spells are often sung. How ever, not always. Sometimes there is no time for singing. You can totally perform these spells without singing.
I would like to meet like-minded people. Can I do that on this course?
This course is self-paced and there is no community available. However my future plans include a membership where my customers can mingle and learn together.

My name is Ninni
I am a folklore enthusiast and my own kind of skeptic folk-witch. I’m also a certified trauma-informed integrative transformation coach, Yoga Nidra instructor and inner world cartographer.
I struggled through overwhelm, anxiety and burnout. And an enormous creative block. I opened a conversation channel with my nervous system, fears, and shadows, and found the energy and courage to follow my own North star, my own path.
For me spellcraft is about taking ownership of our words, connecting to something ancient or bigger than myself, processing the inner world, and building momentum and energy for change. Words we say (or sing) matter.
I walk with witches, dreamers and cycle-breakers who are ready to live as their full selves.
